Senior Backend Engineer, ISV (Product Infrastructure)

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve core domain APIs and data models for Polymarket's consumer product.
- Develop gRPC/Connect services and real-time streaming systems.
- Partner with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver end-user features.
- Consolidate fragmented services and APIs into cleaner, reusable primitives.
- Balance technical-debt cleanup with shipping new product features under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineers across product, infra, and data for platform integration.
Requirements
- Experience in backend/product engineering with a focus on domain APIs and data models.
- Hands-on experience with gRPC/Connect and real-time streaming technologies.
- Proven track record of partnering with frontend and mobile teams to ship features.
- Experience in unifying fragmented services and APIs into reusable components.
- Ability to balance technical debt with product delivery under tight deadlines.
- Experience in a high-growth consumer product company or marketplace is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and container deployment is a plus.
