Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and operation of platform services and APIs for provisioning, scaling, and securing containerized compute.
- Drive architecture and technical strategy for Azure Container Instances, Service Fabric, and Azure Kubernetes Service, including hosting-model migrations.
- Own networking, identity, and workload-isolation components, including virtual network integration, subnet delegation, managed identity, and container isolation.
- Own platform features end to end through design, deployment, rollout, and live-site support in a DevOps model.
- Participate in on-call rotations, mitigate production incidents, and drive root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and corrective actions.
- Use telemetry, logging, and monitoring to improve reliability, performance, capacity, and infrastructure cost.
- Partner with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot teams on platform requirements, feature development, and workload onboarding.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and multi-quarter platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Preferred: master's degree with 6+ years of experience, bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure compute services such as AKS, Azure Container Instances, Service Fabric, or Virtual Machine Scale Sets.
- Experience with C#, .NET, core Azure platform services, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, safe deployment practices, ARM or Bicep templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience with Azure networking concepts including virtual networks, DNS, and load balancing.
- Experience operating high-availability services, including on-call ownership, incident command, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with observability and diagnostics tooling such as distributed tracing, metrics, and log analytics.
- Experience with generative AI, agentic workloads, or LLM/ML systems.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other applicable security screening requirements.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year; specific San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area ranges are USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
