Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain pipelines, environments, and automation frameworks for PLM delivery across development, test, UAT, staging, and production.
- Maintain reliable and repeatable deployments using CI/CD, infrastructure automation, application deployment, and environment configuration practices.
- Promote complex platform changes while maintaining segregation of duties, traceability, release evidence, and configuration baselines.
- Collaborate with PLM architects, configurators, developers, testers, security teams, and release stakeholders.
- Support Siemens Teamcenter, NX, Active Workspace, and related CAD/PLM engineering services.
- Contribute to release planning, environment stability, deployment repeatability, documentation, and release quality.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, build engineering, or release engineering in an enterprise or complex-programme environment.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Practical knowledge of Git-based source control, branching strategies, release branches, pull requests, artifact repositories, and configuration baselines.
- Experience automating infrastructure, application deployment, or environment configuration with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Experience promoting platform changes through multiple environments with repeatability, segregation of duties, and auditable release evidence.
- Understanding of Agile delivery, sprint-based delivery, backlog management, Definition of Done, release planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Familiarity with PLM or engineering application environments, ideally Siemens Teamcenter, Active Workspace, NX, and CAD/PLM integrations.
- Experience with Teamcenter deployment utilities such as BMIDE, TEM, Dispatcher, preferences, workflow templates, and environment promotion is useful but not essential.
- Experience with NX or other CAD authoring environments, Teamcenter upgrades and patching, environment cloning or refreshes, disaster-recovery rehearsals, automated testing, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, observability, monitoring, data migration, cutover planning, or go-live is useful.
- Experience in defence, aerospace, nuclear, rail, or another highly regulated engineering sector and knowledge of UK defence security expectations are useful.
