Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize ML workflows using Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery ML.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines for model training and deployment, and automate model monitoring and retraining in Kubernetes environments.
- Define and manage cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Configure and tune services for stability, performance, and security.
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning for high-traffic events such as Black Friday.
- Add observability and alerting to data pipelines and services.
- Evaluate new technologies and industry trends for organizational use.
- Help data engineers and data scientists implement performance and security best practices.
- Automate repetitive tasks and implement permanent solutions to recurring issues.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Linux environments, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Ruby, or PHP, plus Shell scripting and regular expressions.
- Solid understanding of software development, release engineering, and CI/CD best practices.
- Understanding of networking, operating systems, automation, distributed computing, high availability, and load balancing.
- Preferred experience managing modern ML platforms and highly available Big Data systems.
- Preferred experience with HashiCorp Vault, Consul, and Terraform; public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure; monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, StatsD, ELK, or LGTM; SQL; and relational databases.
- Active participation in the technical community is valued.
