Base Salary
$118k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software for multi-platform simulation and training systems.
- Perform multithreaded software debugging and contribute to requirements capture, analysis, feature decomposition, and software and systems engineering decisions.
- Own committed objectives and influence program-level cost, schedule, and technical performance decisions.
- Serve as a software development focal and drive technical solutions with limited supervision.
- Mentor early-career engineering peers, support onboarding, and promote technical excellence and team leadership.
- Lead bidding and proposal activities supporting new business acquisition.
- Work with customers and program leadership and travel to domestic and international customer sites for training events and product installations.
Requirements
- A STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 5 years of experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Previous C++ experience and knowledge of software engineering design principles.
- Experience with agile development practices.
- Preferred experience includes training simulations, ARINC 429, ARINC 610, MIL-STD-1553, Windows, Linux, Visual Studio, DevSecOps, object-oriented C++ with STL and templates, Python, Perl, Git, SVN, ClearCase, JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership qualities, and willingness to mentor and share knowledge.
