Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and execute multi-year technical strategies and roadmaps for the Optimal Decision Making team.
- Serve as the primary tech lead for approximately 12 software engineers, establishing architectural boundaries, scalable abstractions, and resilient systems while contributing technical designs.
- Collaborate with capacity management and planning teams to identify shared efficiency opportunities while maintaining ecosystem reliability.
- Mentor and develop L3–L5 software engineers, delegating complex subsystems and coaching system design and execution.
- Drive engineering best practices and continuous improvements in development velocity, telemetry, and system maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of programming experience in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in computer science, operations research, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: background in mathematical optimization, LP/MIP constraint solvers, simulation, or large-scale data pipelines.
- Preferred: industry experience in capacity planning, cloud resource allocation, supply chain modeling, or fleet management systems.
- Preferred: experience leading and growing medium-to-large engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems and highly scalable and reliable systems or cloud services.
Benefits
- US base salary is $207000–$300000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
