Base Salary
$162k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain Workflow Platform infrastructure using Temporal, Netflix Conductor, and other distributed workflow orchestration systems.
- Architect and deliver scalable, resilient, high-performance platform services and distributed backend systems.
- Benchmark platform performance, collect metrics, publish results, and improve reliability, throughput, and latency.
- Maintain platform availability through observability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and 99.995% uptime objectives.
- Estimate, provision, and scale infrastructure capacity while optimizing performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and operate mission-critical backend services in AWS using Java and Spring Framework.
- Investigate complex system issues, identify root causes, implement preventive measures, and improve operational excellence.
- Lead technical design discussions, guide architecture and delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and coach software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of total experience.
- Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining distributed workflow orchestration or platform infrastructure.
- Experience developing backend services and distributed systems in AWS using Java and Spring Framework.
- Ability to architect highly scalable, resilient, and high-performance services.
- Experience with performance benchmarking, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop software engineers and guide technical design and architecture discussions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
- Experience with software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and live-site operations.
