Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-native software platforms.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, engineering design, code quality, testing strategy, deployment practices, and operational readiness.
- Design distributed systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
- Establish platform boundaries between shared services, application logic, calculation engines, and user experience layers.
- Translate ambiguous business and domain requirements into scalable technical designs and delivery plans.
- Build systems with provenance, lineage, auditability, version history, traceability, deterministic execution, replayable processing, and governed configuration-driven rules.
- Support RAG and GraphRAG solutions, vector retrieval, knowledge graphs, model serving, evaluation, and output guardrails.
- Review architecture artifacts, pull requests, data models, integrations, and operational controls for quality, security, scalability, and compliance.
- Coach and mentor engineers and serve as an escalation point for complex technical decisions, production issues, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Improve engineering practices, automation, observability, testing coverage, documentation, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response processes.
- Contribute to technology strategy, platform modernization, departmental planning, and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or architectural capacity.
- Experience managing teams and delivering solutions in complex or regulated environments.
- Deep expertise in modern programming languages and frameworks such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Rust.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and API design and integration.
- Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization, automated testing, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis for streaming and event processing.
- Experience deploying and serving models with vLLM, Ollama, or LM Studio.
- Applied experience with RAG and GraphRAG pipelines, embedding models, chunking and retrieval strategies, and vector databases.
- Experience with tools such as LangChain and LlamaIndex and knowledge-graph stores such as Neo4j.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to design distributed workflows involving dependency graphs, DAG orchestration, bounded concurrency, idempotency, failure isolation, caching, recomputation, versioning, and replayable execution.
- Experience building configuration-driven platforms with governed business rules, rates, thresholds, mappings, approval workflows, effective dating, version pinning, and append-only audit trails.
- Strong architectural judgment and ability to separate shared platform services from application-specific logic.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
