Responsibilities
- Develop cloud architecture and custom cloud functionality for customer web applications.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot scalable web applications.
- Implement software using Python, Java, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Customize tools and build applications for displaying, retrieving, and analyzing data.
- Develop scripts, modules, libraries, and other customized code for analysis functions.
- Maintain ETL processes, add and monitor data sources, and troubleshoot ingestion issues.
- Coordinate with counterparts at other government agencies to identify and ingest data.
- Provide metadata, commented code, user manuals, system requirements, security plans, and other documentation.
- Create and deliver program and project artifacts and support customer planning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with relevant experience potentially accepted in place of the degree.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++.
- Experience with cloud computing services from a major provider and cloud-based development and deployment.
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with web development frameworks and technologies such as Flask and Django.
- Experience working on Agile development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Preferred: experience with enterprise services, security controls, data management practices, APIs, ETL, multiple data sources, outward-facing cloud environments, and Intelligence Community or Department of Defense support.
