Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test the cloud-based platform, including frontend, backend, and services.
  • Participate in feature estimation, prioritization, sprint planning, biweekly sprints, code reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Understand customer needs and collaborate with the product team to design, plan, and implement new features.
  • Investigate and fix production issues for early software customers.
  • Improve engineering processes and make tradeoffs among agility, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of software development experience with enterprise-grade software.
  • Experience building scalable, high-performance cloud services.
  • Expert coding skills in Scala or Java backend development.
  • Deep knowledge of databases, query optimization, and views.
  • Experience developing on cloud platforms including AWS.
  • Expertise building scalable event-based asynchronous systems using microservices architecture.
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Cybersecurity experience and adversarial thinking.
  • Expertise building REST APIs.
  • BSCS or equivalent required; MSCS or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly, share ideas, multitask, and work across different responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
