Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable, scalable business onboarding and verification systems across Europe and the UK.
- Build systems that verify businesses, owners, directors, and other associated parties.
- Automate information collection, verification, and decision-making to reduce onboarding time and manual work.
- Create flexible onboarding journeys for different markets, business types, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop controls and monitoring to manage financial-crime and compliance risks with minimal customer friction.
- Own projects end to end from problem discovery and technical design through delivery and impact measurement.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations, and engineering teams while maintaining reliability, testing, and code-quality standards.
Requirements
- Strong product mindset and focus on user experience, customer pain points, and data-driven decisions.
- Experience with Java or another JVM-based language, Spring, JDBC, and database internals.
- Experience with distributed and concurrent systems.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design.
- Ability to write testable code and use Test Driven Development.
- Machine learning basics, including data pipelines, feature engineering, recall and precision, and familiarity with machine learning systems in production, are a strong plus.
Benefits
- Starting salary of £87,500–£111,000 plus RSUs.
