Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design new systems or improve existing systems and own technical direction from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain the AWS Global Accelerator data plane packet processor for traffic routing and load balancing.
- Drive improvements to service availability and performance, including routing traffic toward customer endpoints.
- Develop high-quality, testable, and maintainable software and participate in code reviews.
- Mentor and guide team members in solving complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with AWS customers, service owners, and software and networking development teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- At least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Strong computer networking, networking protocol, distributed systems, deep packet analysis, and low-level systems programming skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of DPDK and NGINX is preferred.
