Responsibilities
- Author Architecture Decision Records and govern architectural standards for major integrations and platform decisions.
- Design and build decoupled microservices in TypeScript and Go for production-scale integrations.
- Define frontend standards and component architecture for integration configuration, connection status, and data-flow experiences.
- Own AWS CDK infrastructure-as-code across multi-region environments and make data-store decisions for DynamoDB and Aurora RDS.
- Build idempotent outbound APIs and asynchronous webhook ingestion pipelines using exponential backoff, AWS EventBridge, and SQS.
- Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and create Datadog dashboards for availability, latency, throughput, and other service indicators.
- Ensure tenant isolation, GDPR data minimization, and SOC 2 Type II cryptographic compliance across integration services.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and structured technical development.
- Lead Operational Readiness Reviews, define CI/CD quality gates, and own integration systems through production monitoring.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a lead, staff, or principal engineer in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript and Go with experience delivering production microservices at scale.
- Mastery of AWS serverless technologies including AWS CDK, EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, and Secrets Manager.
- Ability to design decoupled, event-driven architectures and explain distributed-systems trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, OpenTelemetry, structured logging, and distributed tracing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence across engineering and product stakeholders.
- Experience authoring Architecture Decision Records or equivalent technical design documentation.
- Prior CRM integration experience with Salesforce, Microsoft, HubSpot, or similar is preferred.
- Familiarity with PHP, Kotlin, or Python for legacy service transitions is preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining SDK packages for third-party developers is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AI-first development tooling and practices is preferred.
