Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Build and manage robust, secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines for digital solutions.
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Develop frontend applications using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging technologies such as IBM MQ and Kafka.
- Implement unit testing, secure coding, observability, monitoring, and DevSecOps practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to technical decision-making and technology communities.
- Identify and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and support policy and procedure development.
- Modernize legacy applications and contribute to microservices-based, domain-driven, and event-driven architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and Test-Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with containerized application development and deployment using OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven or Gradle, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, or similar event-driven messaging platforms.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams within banking or financial services.
- Preferred experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring, and making technical decisions.
- Preferred knowledge of payment systems, corporate banking, lending, transaction banking, observability and monitoring tools, application security, secure coding, legacy modernization, Domain Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-led integrations.
