Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and respond to client and business-user questions about application capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and develop scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Lead analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, monitoring, and operational support across the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business partners, analysts, clients, and technology groups to deliver solutions and resolve application issues.
- Manage projects, delivery timelines, stakeholders, and changing requirements with limited direct supervision.
- Recommend security measures, assess operational risks, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and lower-level programmers.
- Define and follow operating standards and procedures and provide user and operational support.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience, including 3–4 years of Python and Java experience.
- Strong experience in full-stack software application development, systems analysis, programming, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience designing horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Experience with on-premises and public cloud infrastructure, including OpenShift and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Python, Java, Maven, Spring Framework, SQL, and major relational database systems.
- Experience with React, event-driven architecture, Unix/Linux commands and basic scripting, and Advanced REST Client or a similar tool.
- Knowledge of XML parsing and schemas, JSON, third-party libraries, design standards and frameworks, and multiple technologies.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and applying consulting or project management techniques.
- Experience with Git, IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, Maven, LSE, JIRA, JUnit, and automated testing tools.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, communicate effectively, and operate proactively across geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
