Responsibilities
- Implement solutions for fixed-income quantitative statistical models and business requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions using Python and AWS services.
- Build serverless applications with AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and related AWS services.
- Design and manage DAG-based orchestration for end-to-end data pipeline execution.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while continuing hands-on development.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and platform engineering teams.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and code review processes.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure data pipeline availability and performance.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps and platform modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of overall technology experience, including significant hands-on engineering experience.
- Strong production-grade Python development and data processing experience.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, Lambda, S3, serverless architecture, and cross-service integrations.
- Experience designing and maintaining DAG-based workflows using Apache Airflow or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of data modeling, SQL performance tuning, and databases; SQL Server experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of fixed-income investment data and preferably asset management, financial services, quantitative strategies, or portfolio management systems.
- Experience delivering production-grade solutions in Python and AWS environments.
- Strong problem-solving, independent decision-making, communication, and technical presentation skills.
- Preferred experience with Git, CI/CD integration, React, Kong API, application security, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, deployment pipelines, and cloud governance, security, and compliance.
