Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise-grade software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Develop and consume scalable web services and microservices, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and optimize relational database queries and performance using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, secure coding, monitoring, troubleshooting, production support, and software delivery activities.
- Lead technical design discussions and development activities across complex projects while mentoring junior developers.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks and contribute to software controls, policies, and governance.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Proven experience with web services, microservices architectures, application programming interfaces, and scalable software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, version control systems, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Experience with secure coding, application monitoring, troubleshooting, production support, technical design discussions, code reviews, and complex project development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
- A master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is valued.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and distributed systems design patterns is valued.
- Familiarity with Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets is valued.
- Experience with Scrum or Kanban and strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills are valued.
