Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver scalable, maintainable, performant software solutions.
- Build full-stack applications using backend and frontend technologies including Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and JavaScript.
- Develop and manage robust, secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines for digital solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit testing practices.
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Use containerized application development and deployment technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Support technical decision-making, mentoring, team leadership, risk management, and control strengthening.
- Contribute to modernization of legacy applications and adoption of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API-led integrations.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and Test-Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes for containerized application development and deployment.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven or Gradle, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams within banking or financial services environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring, and making technical decisions is valued.
- Knowledge of payment systems, corporate banking, lending, or transaction banking is valued.
- Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, application security, secure coding, legacy modernization, Domain Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-led integrations is valued.
