  • Design solutions that are secure, scalable, observable, resilient, maintainable, and cost-aware.
  • Lead small or medium development teams by splitting work, removing blockers, supporting delivery, and maintaining technical quality.
  • Review code, challenge design decisions, promote clean and testable Python, and guide implementation trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, architects, DevOps, engineering, and R&D teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentor Python engineers, share knowledge through sessions and code reviews, and support Python competency development.
  • Design, test, and implement solutions from workshops and pilots through proofs of concept, deployment, and post-implementation review.
  • Report R&D project progress and document implementation results.

Requirements

  • BTech, MTech, or a Master’s in Computer Applications.
  • At least 8 years of commercial software engineering experience, including strong Python backend development.
  • Very good knowledge of Python, including clean code, typing, testing, packaging, performance fundamentals, and production debugging.
  • Experience designing backend services, REST APIs, event-driven components, integrations, or data pipelines and owning technical design decisions.
  • Practical AWS and/or Azure cloud experience, including secure, scalable, observable, and cost-aware service design.
  • Experience defining or validating performance, security, reliability, observability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Experience technically leading developers through code reviews, technical decisions, mentoring, and delivery ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural and design patterns, Clean Code, testing practices, and architectural documentation.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, and automated deployments.
  • Experience supporting technical communities through mentoring, knowledge sharing, standards definition, or reusable engineering guidance.
  • Preferred experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Celery, or similar Python tools.
