Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture, identify efficiencies, and optimize code for mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions in mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop software that enables cloud and mobile applications to interact with mainframe core data.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong development and coding experience with Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies, including debugging and problem solving.
- Experience developing scalable and robust software using software development methodologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, containers such as Docker and Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hyperscaler certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
