Responsibilities
- Define the what and how for the squad’s product and platform goals while remaining hands-on in code and technically unblocking the team.
- Lead delivery of mobile workflows including dashboards, notifications and tasks, insights, banking improvements, and mobile subscriptions.
- Champion production-first operational excellence by automating delivery pipelines, addressing failure patterns, leading incident responses, and monitoring system health.
- Drive efficiency by identifying technical waste, simplifying designs, and leveraging modern practices including AI.
- Provide goal clarity, remove barriers, mentor engineers, raise the squad’s technical bar, and foster a psychologically safe and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, web, platform, and domain teams to deliver reliable mobile experiences across channels.
Requirements
- Strong React Native expertise is preferred; strong iOS with Swift or Android with Kotlin specialists are also welcome if they are open to developing within a React Native ecosystem.
- Experience with backend API integration and mobile backend development, including contributing to API design and implementation.
- Mastery of software design patterns, distributed architectures, and cloud infrastructure, with experience building robust mobile applications at scale.
- Ability to mentor and coach engineers, manage multiple workstreams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to provide technical judgment, turn ambiguity into direction, and work effectively in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.
