Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform and Ansible modules for Azure and GCP.
- Build and operate scalable, secure cloud environments using AKS, GKE, App Gateway, VNets, NSGs, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.
- Implement infrastructure governance, cost optimization, policy-as-code, and compliance controls across cloud subscriptions and projects.
- Build and optimize Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Implement blue/green, canary, and rollback deployment strategies with observability and alerting.
- Integrate vulnerability scanning, code analysis, compliance checks, secrets, certificates, and key management into delivery workflows.
- Align infrastructure and security practices with FedRAMP, FIPS, ISO, and PCI standards.
- Contribute to portal application code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends, REST API endpoints, and backend handlers.
- Integrate applications with standardized observability, secrets, authentication, and deployment patterns.
- Implement monitoring and reliability practices with Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics.
- Define and tune SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets aligned with business outcomes.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams through planning, standups, retrospectives, release management, and post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering, with full-stack application exposure.
- Expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud architecture and automation, with Azure preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and reusable module design.
- Strong experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with container security, image scanning, supply chain security, and security frameworks.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience building or maintaining portal-style web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends and REST backends.
- Daily experience with AI coding assistants, prompt and context discipline, and reviewing AI-generated output for correctness and security.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, network, and application layers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred certifications include Azure AZ-104/AZ-400, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, and HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
- Preferred experience includes regulated environments, Ansible, Argo CD, FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS Benchmarks, ISO, and PCI.
