Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure across EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, IAM, S3, and Route 53.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads and the Amazon EKS platform lifecycle, including upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting, and operational stability.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Bamboo.
- Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Monitor platform performance and availability using New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Lead and support P1/P2 production incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative actions.
- Contribute to reliability, automation, scalability, security, and platform modernisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams and participate in the DevOps on-call roster.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
- Practical Kubernetes experience, ideally with Amazon EKS.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code capability using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting capability using Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Linux administration experience and understanding of networking, cloud security, IAM, and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing, or SaaS platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively during production incidents.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jira, SonarQube, Veracode, New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana is preferred.
