Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legacy systems to identify architectural issues and propose solutions.
- Transition between debugging and high-level system design for SoundCloud’s API.
- Write high-performance code that exemplifies engineering excellence.
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering to modernize core systems efficiently.
- Ensure the platform remains performant, scalable, and reliable.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to build next-generation systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs.
- Partner with the CTO to identify critical projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in high-scale distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong mentoring skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- A systems thinker comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on debugging.
- Proven experience leading teams in high-pressure environments.
