Base Salary
$230k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale LLM-based systems that process billions of unstructured data points daily
- Extract precise information and surface insights that support insurers’ high-stakes decisions
- Make architectural calls under ambiguity and set the technical direction for the Submission Processing team
- Own end-to-end outcomes and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
- Work at the intersection of AI and backend engineering on challenging, unsolved industry problems
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
- Production experience with LLMs and deploying them at scale
- Experience with AWS, Lambda, EC2, serverless technologies, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments
- Proficiency in Python, with openness to candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds
- Comfort with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- Experience with document pipelines and processing large amounts of data is a bonus
- Ability to take ownership, drive projects to completion, communicate proactively, and iterate through experimentation
