Responsibilities

Design and evolve solution architecture for core trading, market operations, and regulatory systems.
Lead solution architecture design and development across multiple large-scale projects.
Represent and champion solution architecture in governance forums and with stakeholders.
Produce technical solution designs, functional specifications, and other technical documentation.
Partner with business analysis, delivery, infrastructure, IT service ownership, quality engineering, solution engineering, and testing functions.
Ensure solutions leverage internal enterprise platforms and vendor IT solutions while aligning with enterprise IT strategy and architecture principles.
Work with engineering teams to ensure delivered systems align with technology architecture, software integrity, and reusability principles.
Participate in the Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture Community of Practice.

Experience architecting mission-critical, high-transaction-volume environments.
Experience in markets trading within a financial services environment.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative solution architecture skills.
Experience developing solution architectures in hybrid legacy and cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
Experience across the full software development life cycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
Experience developing non-functional requirements for new or upgraded solutions.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
Understanding of networking infrastructure for low-latency, high-throughput trading environments is desirable.
Legacy technology strategy and architecture experience is desirable.
Cloud architecture and cloud-native design experience is desirable.
High-level analytical capability and experience delivering complex, high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic programs are desirable.
Working knowledge of a fully integrated exchange environment is highly beneficial.

12-month fixed-term contract.
Flexible and hybrid working options, with consideration for part-time or other flexible arrangements.
Background checks, including reference and police checks, are part of onboarding.
