Base Salary
$155k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end production reliability, resiliency, availability, and operational excellence for critical Wealth Management Technology platforms.
- Champion SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, reliability metrics, and operational risk management.
- Lead detection, triage, escalation, resolution, and communications for production incidents and outages.
- Govern production changes, release controls, operational readiness, testing, rollback strategies, monitoring, and support models.
- Support blockchain-connected infrastructure, digital wallet security systems, and distributed ledger technology pipelines.
- Lead automation, self-healing capabilities, AI-driven operational workflows, and initiatives that reduce operational toil.
- Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, operational standards, knowledge-management resources, and system diagrams.
- Provide technical leadership on architecture, scalability, capacity planning, disaster recovery, resiliency testing, and systemic risk reduction.
- Lead and coordinate a small to medium team and collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, operations, business, vendor, and partner teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of production-environment experience with a solid software development background, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals.
- BS/MS or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years leading a small to medium team with a similar skill set.
- 5+ years driving SRE principles, Chaos Engineering, and cloud application support.
- 2+ years supporting or deploying applications using AWS or GCP.
- 2+ years supporting digital-assets or blockchain-connected infrastructure, digital wallet security systems, or distributed ledger technology pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with code, infrastructure, large-scale high-availability systems, monitoring, and performance and availability administration.
- Strong scripting experience with Shell, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
- Strong database skills with DB2, Sybase, or Oracle.
- Working knowledge of observability and DevOps tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Kibana.
- Hands-on experience using AI and implementing AI tools for operational efficiency.
- Experience with on-call incident response and the ability to respond to emergencies 24/7.
- Strong analytical, problem-determination, resolution, communication, writing, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Financial services industry experience is a plus.
