Responsibilities
- Define and execute technical strategy for the retail automation platform.
- Architect and lead development of large-scale distributed systems and system-wide integration patterns.
- Build and mentor engineering teams and develop technical talent.
- Partner with machine learning scientists and research teams to implement scalable intelligent solutions.
- Design foundational services and frameworks that improve scalability, reliability, performance, and engineering velocity.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, business owners, and operations teams across global retail use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
