Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust build and deployment systems for efficient software delivery.
- Automate software build, packaging, installation, and deployment processes.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and usability of build pipelines and systems.
- Manage software installations across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
- Collaborate with engineers, product management, and operations on full-lifecycle initiatives.
- Enable and mentor development teams through build-system improvements and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed applications.
- Strong experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with microservices and cloud-based architectures or design patterns.
- Proficiency with build tools such as CMake, Make, Gradle, or Maven.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Git or SVN and branching strategies.
- Experience with software packaging and installation tools such as InstallShield, NSIS, or WiX Toolset.
- Solid understanding of Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with application deployment using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with Java is a plus.
- Experience with SQL Server or MySQL is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
