Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the DrChrono software development lifecycle for new application development and existing system maintenance.
- Gather and document requirements, estimate work, conduct software spikes, prototype solutions, and maintain systems documentation.
- Develop, test, and deploy software, including automated unit testing and test automation.
- Collaborate with developers, quality assurance testers, and product owners on an agile team.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor and pair with less experienced engineers, and deliver software demonstrations.
- Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, meetings, and presentations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience writing production backend code in Python and Django.
- At least 3 years of frontend web development experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
- At least 2 years of experience with React and TypeScript.
- At least 3 years of experience with test automation, mocking, and stubs.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
- Expertise in algorithms, refactoring, and engineering best practices including DRY and SOLID.
- Proficiency with Git and experience conducting code reviews.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, continuous-improvement, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include test-driven development experience, Agile and Scrum experience, and experience with developer experience AI tools.
