Responsibilities
- Develop code using Java, Spring, and NoSQL technologies.
- Solve technical problems using current technologies and software engineering best practices.
- Propose and compare alternative technical solutions.
- Ensure technical designs are correctly incorporated into implementations.
- Provide technical expertise across projects as required.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, web services, SOAP and/or REST, with Java 8 or 11 and Spring WebFlux and Reactive experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building microservices with REST and SOAP/XML is required.
- At least 5 years of experience with database technologies including NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, plus DML, DDL, and query optimization.
- At least 5 years of systems integration experience, including event-based messaging and high-volume real-time data streaming with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure is preferred.
- Experience with in-memory datastores or caches such as Redis or MemCache is preferred.
- Significant software development lifecycle, software development methodology, capacity planning, systems performance analysis, distributed systems, and resilient active/active experience is preferred.
- Strong analysis, design, and programming skills are required.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
