Base Salary
$245k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize the technical vision for the shopping domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational, scalable, and performant solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation.
- Drive modernization of monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers and strengthening engineering and product expertise.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, and technology best-practice initiatives.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience with web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred: 10+ years coding professionally in languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred: 10+ years across the full software development lifecycle, from conception through production support.
- Preferred: 8+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: 10+ years with networking protocols and integration with third-party distributed systems.
- Preferred: 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development within technical teams.
- Preferred: 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools is preferred.
