Responsibilities
- Own architecture and define repository, service, facade, DTO, and bridge contracts across Kotlin, platform-specific code, and the UI layer.
- Design, implement, and maintain shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules for point-of-sale business capabilities across JVM/Desktop and Android targets.
- Implement Android and desktop platform-specific code using expect/actual patterns while isolating platform concerns from shared business logic.
- Build offline-capable flows with local persistence, caching, synchronization readiness, and explicit failure handling.
- Write automated tests for domain rules, use cases, repositories, bridge contracts, and coroutine-based flows.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, product owners, and architects on contracts, requirements, and feature delivery.
- Mentor less experienced Kotlin developers and communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and progress.
Requirements
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Experience with CSS-in-JS, specifically PandaCSS.
- Ability to communicate proactively, work independently, and take ownership of tasks and decisions.
- Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity and automate or reduce repetitive work.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly by writing effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and owning final results.
- Preferred experience with Node.js, headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, and Playwright.
