Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software and middleware for secure, reliable OTA update systems.
- Design Linux-based services and scripts for system-level operations on embedded platforms using gRPC and CAN.
- Implement cloud-to-vehicle interfaces using MQTT and Bluetooth, integrating with mobile apps and web portals.
- Maintain communication pathways between cloud services, mobile apps, vehicle HMIs, and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with firmware and cloud teams on end-to-end data exchange and user experience.
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines and automate build, test, and deployment processes for embedded systems.
- Support production-line testing frameworks and software validation before vehicle delivery.
- Maintain development and service tools used by field technicians and support staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with embedded Linux, systemd, and Bash or Python scripting.
- Understanding of CAN bus protocols, cloud connectivity, and secure firmware update mechanisms.
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with Yocto or custom Linux builds is preferred.
- Exposure to DevOps tools, automated test environments, fleet management, service portals, telematics, telemetry, diagnostics, or device connectivity is preferred.
- Experience in automotive, powersports, electric vehicle, or IoT industries is preferred.
