Responsibilities

  • Guide design discussions and support adoption of site reliability engineering practices.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and associated cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code.
  • Use service level indicators and objectives, observability, and telemetry to proactively identify and resolve reliability issues.
  • Apply authorized AI capabilities to incident triage, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and identification of recurring reliability risks.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to solve complex operational problems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Proficiency in SRE principles and implementing SRE practices within an application or platform.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
  • Experience with Python, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform.
  • Experience with observability, including white-box and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
  • Ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations, follow data sensitivity requirements, and escalate when uncertain.
  • Preferred familiarity with AI coding assistant tools, containers, container orchestration, and common networking technologies and issues.
