Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including multi-account networking, service deployments, and disaster recovery.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment standards, rollback strategies, and blue/green and canary releases across multiple product lines.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code modules using OpenTofu/Terraform and AWS CDK with TypeScript.
- Build and operate Docker and AWS ECS container platforms with image security and runtime hardening.
- Own observability strategy using New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana, including alerting, SLOs, and incident response.
- Design disaster recovery capabilities and manage RTO/RPO targets and recovery readiness.
- Implement AWS security controls, secrets management, IAM policy design, and Linux hardening.
- Collaborate with development teams, mentor engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and help maintain 99.9% platform availability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles, including at least 2 years at a senior level.
- Strong AWS experience, including ECS, Aurora, CloudFront, FIS, cost optimization, networking, and security tooling.
- Expertise with OpenTofu/Terraform and AWS CDK with TypeScript.
- Advanced GitLab CI/CD experience with multi-project pipelines, runners, and artifacts at scale.
- Experience with Docker, container security, ECS or Kubernetes, Python, Shell, and production Linux performance tuning and hardening.
- Experience owning observability platforms with New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with advanced AWS networking, including Transit Gateway, VPN, and FortiGate.
- Experience with AWS security tooling, secrets management, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, communication, prioritization, automation, and problem-solving skills.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS certifications, CISSP, and OSCP are preferred or nice to have.
