Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, architecture, application and database design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle delivery.
- Build AI-infused applications and agentic experiences that improve user engagement and productivity.
- Design resilient, secure, scalable solutions and guide technology and design-pattern selection.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and design feedback while promoting collaboration and inclusion.
- Collaborate with product teams, program managers, UX designers, stakeholders, and business partners across Microsoft.
- Establish practices for coding, automated testing, documentation, performance, and service reliability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, automated recovery, incident mitigation, root cause analysis, and performance improvements.
- Drive automation, process optimization, sprint and quarterly planning, estimates, risk communication, and delivery alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience building commercial software and shipping successful software products and services is preferred.
- 6+ years of cloud development experience, particularly with loosely coupled architectures, microservices, and DevOps models, is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing technical and architectural dependencies is preferred.
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, microservices architecture, REST APIs, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript or equivalent technologies is preferred.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI/SDK, Claude CLI, or equivalent AI development tools to build agents, plugins, skills, and MCP servers is preferred.
- Experience building applications and intelligent agents with ASP.NET and Azure AI technologies, including Azure AI Foundry, is preferred.
- Experience with AI/ML concepts and integration into agent workflows is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure, Azure PaaS services, and cloud-native platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Power Platform and D365 is preferred.
- Experience with global agile teams or startup environments, customer focus, and cross-group or matrixed-team influence is preferred.
