Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern frontend and backend web applications.
- Set up, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server across environments.
- Manage Tableau Server users, permissions, access, data source connectivity, and platform settings.
- Monitor Tableau Server health, availability, and performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Integrate Tableau with enterprise applications, databases, data platforms, and other data sources.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and other system integrations.
- Build frontend applications and components using ReactJS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production issue resolution.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD activities.
- Maintain system configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with product, business, design, data, and engineering teams throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Tableau Server.
- Experience managing Tableau Server access, permissions, data source connectivity, and upgrades.
- Proficiency in one or more of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience with ReactJS or an equivalent modern web development framework.
- Understanding of REST APIs, web services, and system integration.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: relevant Tableau certification or substantial Tableau Server administration experience.
- Preferred: experience integrating Tableau with enterprise data platforms and applications.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, DevSecOps practices, enterprise-scale or government systems, and AI/ML, RAG, or Model Context Protocol concepts.
