Base Salary
$320k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize core systems inside Bun and Claude Code.
- Drive down memory usage, latency, and startup time across Claude Code and the Bun runtime.
- Investigate performance problems across the stack, profiling and fixing issues.
- Collaborate with researchers and product engineers to enhance developer experience.
- Contribute to the Bun runtime and toolkit for various internal products.
- Stay updated on advancements in runtimes, compilers, and AI-assisted tooling.
Requirements
- Strong background in C, C++, and Rust.
- Deep systems programming experience including syscalls and Linux internals.
- Experience with language runtimes, virtual machines, or compilers.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
