Responsibilities
- Partner with strategic customers to solve complex business and technical challenges and translate recurring requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
- Design, architect, and develop scalable full-stack SaaS features spanning frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud services.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop type-safe code using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks.
- Design and implement secure production-ready integrations and automated workflows.
- Contribute to automated testing, observability, performance optimization, platform reliability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Influence product strategy, roadmap priorities, and technical direction through customer insights.
- Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and promote engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural patterns to improve platform performance, maintainability, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Insurtech experience and Commercial P&C Insurance or underwriting lifecycle understanding are required.
- 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend development, specifically in SaaS products or startup environments.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in a client-facing role are required.
- Consultative experience acting as a consultant or partner to end clients while remaining accountable for deliverables is required.
- Strong coding proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar is required.
- Hands-on experience with Next.js App Router, including server components, layouts, streaming, and caching.
- Experience with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks.
- Experience implementing complex, data-heavy views with Tailwind and component libraries such as shadcn/ui or Mantine.
- Background in UI/UX design or close collaboration with designers is preferred.
- Ability to design scalable systems and understanding of frontend performance, state management, and accessibility are required.
