Base Salary

$106k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with virtual sales teams to identify and accelerate customer transformation using GitHub Copilot and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Coordinate and lead in-person training sessions for audiences of 50 or more attendees.
  • Lead calls and technical engagements with executives, developers, architects, security stakeholders, and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct discovery, demos, workshops, pilots, proof-of-concepts, architecture sessions, and adoption planning for GitHub Copilot and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes such as faster delivery, improved developer satisfaction, stronger security, and accelerated modernization.
  • Advise customers on licensing, billing, token optimization, DevOps, secure software delivery, CI/CD, developer experience, governance, and integrations with Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Drive GitHub Copilot sales and adoption at scale by identifying priority use cases for education, state and local agencies, and academic medical centers.
  • Lead competitive discussions positioning GitHub Copilot against alternative AI developer tools based on enterprise readiness, security, and adoption impact.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3+ years of technical presales or technical consulting experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of such experience; or 5+ years of technical presales or technical consulting experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • U.S. citizenship verification through a valid passport, other approved documents, or verified U.S. government clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes 7+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, DevOps, developer platforms, cloud platforms, technical sales, or related technical roles.
  • Experience engaging enterprise customers and influencing technical decision-makers across engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, code review, secure development, testing automation, and developer productivity.
  • Experience leading customer-facing workshops, demos, architecture sessions, pilots, proof-of-concepts, or adoption programs at scale.
  • Software development experience in SLED and hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with developer productivity, DevSecOps, platform engineering, application modernization, or AI-enabled software engineering initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Foundry, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Defender, enterprise cloud security patterns, and AI-powered or agentic development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Claude Skills.
  • Candidates must live in the Eastern United States within 60 miles of an international airport.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is $106,400-$203,600 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan areas have a separate base pay range of $137,600-$222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
