Responsibilities
- Build foundational infrastructure platforms that operate across multiple geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for managing and operating Databricks services.
- Build and operate large-scale backend and distributed systems for the Databricks platform.
- Develop tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
- Contribute across project design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of production-level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Ability to contribute throughout the full project lifecycle with guidance from senior team members.
