Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer-facing software products that improve experiences for Rover users and pets.
- Translate loose requirements into technical work, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive projects forward.
- Develop frontend experiences with React or React Native and contribute to backend systems using Python or another backend language.
- Apply automated testing, code quality practices, continuous deployment, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Mentor teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of learning and inclusive collaboration.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and create workflows that automate repetitive engineering tasks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Long-term frontend development experience.
- Strong, proven knowledge of React or React Native.
- Experience with Python or another backend language.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and schema design.
- Commitment to automated testing, code quality, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience using AI tools beyond basic code completion, including custom workflows or automation.
- Good written and spoken English and ability to work collaboratively in an engineering team.
