Base Salary
$214k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant microservices for data processing.
- Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs focused on scalability and reliability.
- Design and implement data models and queries for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Lead data quality initiatives to ensure data consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive technical standards and best practices for code quality and testing.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
- Take ownership of the software development lifecycle, including deployment and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or foreign equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in backend and data engineering.
- Proven experience with distributed data systems and micro-services architecture.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and support engineers.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages like TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience deploying applications on public cloud platforms.
