Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the recommendation service as a critical customer-facing system.
- Collaborate with global teams to co-build a large-scale recommendation system.
- Analyze customer behavior and large datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Develop machine learning models, features, ranking algorithms, and recommendation algorithms.
- Create data jobs for machine learning features, train models, run experiments, and launch new models.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor engineers across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in applied AI/ML with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop reliable machine learning models and robust features.
- Experience serving as a company-wide technical leader and delivering large-scale, high-impact solutions.
- Professional industry experience with Python and/or Java.
- Professional proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred: experience with recommendation or search systems, LLMs, PLMs, embedding models, cloud platforms, and large-scale online serving systems.
