Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture of a distributed streaming engine processing 100k+ events per second with sub-second latency.
- Design for 5-6 nines of availability across global clusters through JVM tuning, memory management, and network I/O optimization.
- Integrate AI/ML models into stream processing and implement predictive scaling and intelligent load balancing.
- Solve distributed consistency, exactly-once processing, backpressure, and high-volume traffic challenges.
- Collaborate with domain teams to migrate legacy batch processes to real-time streaming architectures and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
- At least 6 years of backend software development experience.
- Expert-level experience with Cassandra, TiDB, or DynamoDB.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
- Experience building and maintaining highly available distributed systems in AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with high-volume messaging systems such as Kafka and SQS.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of professional software development experience, ultra-low-latency JVM optimization, AI/ML integration, distributed systems expertise, and observability using distributed tracing and advanced telemetry.
