Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions to identify high-impact AI use cases across SAP S/4HANA, BTP applications, and cross-system processes.
- Design end-to-end AI workflows using SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP AI products, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and custom AI services on BTP.
- Build and lead rapid proofs of concept and MVPs to validate feasibility, user experience, and business value.
- Architect retrieval pipelines, embeddings, LLM-powered extensions, generative copilots, and side-by-side AI applications on BTP.
- Design secure integrations between SAP core systems and AI services using CAP, Event Mesh, API Management, and clean-core patterns.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, data privacy, and responsible AI guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, data engineers, and integration architects to deliver AI-driven experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of SAP architecture or development experience, including at least 2–3+ years focused on AI, BTP, automation, or intelligent extensions.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, APIs, JSON, and YAML.
- Familiarity with SAP Business AI, Joule, predictive AI, SAP copilots, AI Core, and AI Launchpad.
- Understanding of vector stores, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, LLM architectures, and embeddings.
- Experience building AI-powered applications with CAP, Node.js or Java services, and SAP BTP extension models.
- Strong understanding of clean-core extensibility, API-led design, event-driven patterns, OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and enterprise governance.
- Experience across discovery, prototyping, architecture, and delivery phases of complex SAP or AI programs.
- Preferred qualifications include SAP certifications in BTP, AI, or application development; experience with Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, generative copilots, conversational UIs, task automation, knowledge models, enterprise search, or domain-specific vector stores.
