Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable ML infrastructure, tooling, models, internal platforms, and customer-facing AI products.
- Build resilient services for data integration and event processing in cloud environments.
- Consult with product and engineering teams on data lifecycles, ML patterns, and technical tradeoffs.
- Lead cross-team architectural initiatives and establish standards for engineering excellence, observability, reliability, and distributed systems.
- Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and elevate architectural practices through design reviews, documentation, and hands-on guidance.
- Monitor emerging technologies, identify strategic opportunities, and translate product goals into actionable engineering plans.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with progressive technical leadership scope.
- 15+ years of Machine Learning or AI experience, including deep expertise in audio and voice GenAI solutions at scale.
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying production ML-driven B2B multi-tenant applications for external customers.
- Deep distributed-systems expertise, including services handling hundreds of millions of transactions and terabytes of data.
- Expertise with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, high-scale audio/voice models, and LLM evaluations.
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL data stores, including PostgreSQL, Vitess, Spanner, Bigtable, and Redis.
- Operational experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and highly available system design.
- Track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives with measurable business outcomes and influencing without direct authority.
- Experience with customer-facing GenAI and low-latency, high-accuracy AI agents in production.
- Production experience delivering meaningful voice or audio solutions to external products at scale.
- Experience in compliance-heavy environments such as healthcare or fintech.
- External technical leadership through open-source contributions, conference speaking, or published technical writing is valued.
