Base Salary
$145k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess and improve Later’s security posture across applications and infrastructure.
- Define and implement scalable security standards and best practices.
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to align security priorities with business objectives.
- Own identity and access management across Later’s platform.
- Design and maintain secure authentication systems for internal and customer-facing tools.
- Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide security guidance during system design and architecture reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate security into development workflows.
- Lead by influence to raise security standards and mentor others.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a security focus.
- Proven experience building and operating production-grade software or systems.
- Strong background in application security and secure CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management.
- Experience applying security frameworks like OWASP or NIST in production environments.
- Familiarity with cloud security tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code security scanning.
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex security concepts.
