Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve test automation frameworks, reusable utilities, mocks, simulators, test suites, and regression packs.
- Write and maintain integration, end-to-end, API, front-end, back-end, and distributed microservices tests.
- Define and execute test strategies combining automation, exploratory testing, regression coverage, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and uphold standards for test quality and release confidence.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, delivery leads, and cross-functional teams to embed quality early and test cross-squad functionality.
- Investigate defects and production issues, support manual QA, coordinate defect resolution, and validate fixes through automation.
- Use AI assistants and tools in test design, automation, analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and API testing tools rather than only executing tests.
- Confident writing automated tests in TypeScript.
- Expertise designing and executing end-to-end test strategies aligned with Agile delivery.
- Experience embedding quality early in the software development lifecycle and collaborating with product, engineering, principal engineering, and delivery stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile continuous-delivery teams and prioritizing defects based on reproducibility, business impact, and release scope.
- A Computer Science or Information Technology degree, diploma, or similar is preferred.
- CSTAE, ASTQB ISTQB Advanced, or Certified Automation Tester certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with pipeline and event-driven systems including Kafka, AWS EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, queues, streams, and Snaplogic is preferred.
